The time of the year has arrived when families and friends come together to show each other how much they care for one another while eating good food and creating memories that will last forever.
The most important thing to remember during the holiday season is that no matter your circumstances, we are all blessed to have the opportunity to see another day.
On November 22, The Legion Media Group, a NYC-based creative agency, partnered with Jimmy Jazz and The Boys and Girls Club at the Kips Bay location for their 2nd Annual “Thanksgiving Turkey Drive”.
New York City recording artists such as Dusty Locane, K Goddess, Dot Demo, Iman Nunez, Prince Lawrence, and Ms. Blaze showed up in the Bronx to provide over 150 families in the community with turkeys and trimmings to add to their Thanksgiving meal.

“This is a hard time for me and my family so I am very appreciative when I can get a little help,” said one of the moms who attended the giveaway.
Brooklyn-based artist Dusty Locane is all about giving back. “Giving back is everything. We come from this. When people like us who are blessed have the opportunity to give back to the less fortunate we don’t look away, we give a helping hand.”
When asked about the things that we are thankful for, hip-hop female rapper K Goddess expressed her gratitude for those who have helped her. “I am thankful that I am still alive. I am thankful for my family and loved ones. I am also thankful for the everyday challenges that I go through because it pushes me to be a better person.”

With everything going on in the world sometimes it gets hard to open our eyes and see what we have right in front of us. Moments like this in our community do not happen every day so I am thankful to see the smiling faces of families who need our help. We are stronger when we work together for a bigger purpose.
Happy holiday season to all and remember to cherish the moments that you have with your friends and family.
Until next post… Coach Tay
