Lights. Camera. Action.
This year New York Fashion Week took the city by storm. Top brands and a-list celebrities hosted various shows to exhibit bold and beautiful pieces that will make a bold statement in upcoming seasons. There was plenty to see and if you were lucky to attend one of the many shows that took place, you had the opportunity to pick up on some fashion and styling tips that will make you stand out.
On Saturday, September 7th, the Fashion Sizzle hosted an incredible runway show at The Holy Apostles Ballroom and a few hundred people lined the block to witness a breathtaking evening. Fashion Sizzle is a media agency that uses its platform to create spaces for independent designers and brands to showcase their latest collections during fashion week. This year, designers and brands such as House of Sizzle, Corey Rogers, Raiue, Sofia Davis, Black Shepard, Au Just Style, Mirando, and Up Cycle Collection were a few that displayed their phenomenal and creative talents. The designs were colorful, chic, and elegant. From upscale to leisure attire it became evident that the models that walked in the show knew exactly how to show off each brand to the best of their abilities.

Halfway through the show singer and dancer, Jaeden Zoe hit the runway and performed some of her latest hit records. She wasn’t just a model for the night; she was an artist that showed how powerful it is to live your passion by putting one foot in front of the other.
During Fashion Week, if you can imagine backstage can be hectic and models can be pulled in each direction but this was where the party was at. While Emmy nominated Director and Photographer, Joseph Swift, captured beautiful portraits of each model that depicted their beauty and elegance to the highest form. At this time, we witnessed some models, Aaliyah Artis, Mariah Frances, Kalayna Thompson, Karen Fields-Spooner, Bridget Hope West, and Alexa Ramirez change into their outfits with such care and comfort.
After the show, model Antone C, stated, “I thought the show was super amazing. There were a lot of minority designers and models who are just making fashion and making it their own. The designers were amazing. They did last-minute stitching and became super creative. All the colors, cuts, and style combinations that were put together, I wouldn’t have even thought of. Everything was just amazing”.
