1st Annual Atlanta Creative Mixer Unites Entertainment Professionals for Networking and Growth

Atlanta, GA –– On October 11, 2024, the 1st annual Atlanta Creative Mixer (ACM) made a dynamic debut, bringing together talented individuals from the entertainment industry for an evening of impactful networking and mentorship. Curated by Breanna Makonnen (Music Industry Professional & Brand Developer), Taylor Brooks (Publicist and Brand Specialist), and Keon Hollis (A&R and Entertainment Manager), the event sought to create a space where artists, industry professionals, and aspiring creatives could build meaningful connections and leverage opportunities for career advancement.

 

With Atlanta as a vibrant hub for entertainment professionals, ACM was designed to foster collaboration and cultivate relationships among creatives, including singers, songwriters, actors, executives, and entrepreneurs. The event featured two compelling panel discussions that offered attendees insight into the business side of the industry as well as artistic development.


The Creative Entertainment Panel included:

  • Jace Harris – Artist & Songwriter

  • Charlie Chuck – Fashion Stylist

  • Derrian “Phreshy” Perry – Publicist

  • Bernard Fields – Music Coordinator at Pandora

  • Keon Hollis – A&R and Entertainment Manager

 

The Corporate Entertainment Panel featured:

  • Steve-O – Music Executive and Founder of Stay Lowe Ent

  • Darance Scoon – Co-owner of Agenda Studios and Atlantafornia Records

  • Vel – Director of Publishing and A&R at LVRN

  • Ameer Brown – CTO & Co-Founder at Music Breakr

  • Nigel Hammett – Account Executive

 

The evening provided an intimate setting for attendees to gain knowledge from industry leaders while engaging in organic networking. In addition to the panels, participants had access to exclusive 1-on-1 virtual and in-person mentoring sessions, further emphasizing the mixer’s mission to offer personalized guidance and connection.

 

"We are proud to have come up with this idea in a matter of 30 days, and seeing it come to life with such major support has been nothing short of amazing!” said co-curator Taylor Brooks.


The event attracted a diverse crowd, including college students, aspiring entertainment professionals, and current entertainers, such as artist Dee-1 and DJ Brannew, official DJ for Earth Gang.

Looking ahead, the ACM curators are excited to expand their efforts by hosting both digital and in-person activations in major cities, including New York City, Houston, and Los Angeles.
